After 25 years in the Fort Lauderdale dining scene, Bimini Boatyard Bar & Grill closed July 10. A new concept, Boatyard, is replacing it.

Boatyard, a new waterside dining concept, will open at the site of the former Bimini Boatyard Bar & Grill this fall.

Bimini Boatyard Bar & Grill closed in July and hospitality group The Restaurant People — the company behind Fork & Balls, YOLO, Tarpon Bend Food & Tackle and a few others — announced that it would reimagine the site at 1555 S.E. 17th St. in Fort Lauderdale, but revealed few details.

Now we know that the 275-seat eatery will feature a "yachty-chic" vibe and serve mostly seafood. It will employ about 100 people and debut in time for the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show which will be from Nov. 5-9, although no exact date was given.

Potential applicants can bring a resume to 1535 S.E. 17th St., Suite 119 in Fort Lauderdale from Sept. 10-12 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. or email jobs@therestauranteople.com.

The restaurant is a joint venture between TRP and Fort Lauderdale-based Hudson Capital Group, which is the property's current owner.
