If there's any lesson to take away from the year on Twitter: people REALLY love One Direction.

Of the 10 most retweeted messages on social network Twitter, half of them are from members of the music group. Twitter broke down the most popular tweets as part of its 2015 year in review.

The most popular tweet was sent by One Direction member Harry Styles, after news spread Zayn Malik was leaving the group. It was retweeted more than 700,000 times.

Malik boasts the second most-popular tweet, with more than 565,000 retweets, praising the group's song Drag Me Down.

In fact, every member of One Direction is represented in Twitter's most retweeted messages. The most popular tweet not related to One Direction comes from President Obama, offering support to the Supreme Court's ruling to legalize gay marriage.
