'Blood Orange' Trailer: Iggy Pop Is Dying Rock Star Who Must Save His Wife New Thriller

Rock star Iggy Pop, frontman of the seminal punk band The Stooges, has kept busy in recent months. He recently recorded his seventeen studio album “Post Pop Depression” with Queen of the Stone Age founder Josh Homme, and now he’s currently starring in the upcoming thriller “Blood Orange.” The film stars Pop as Bill, a dying rock star who resides in a stunning spanish villa with his “beautiful and sexually promiscuous wife” Isabelle (Kacey Barnfield). Suddenly, Lucas (Ben Lamb), an ex-lover of Isabelle’s, appears at their villa and demands his inheritance back from Isabelle, but she refuses to give him anything. When Lucas hatches a plan to get his money back by convincing David the pool boy (Antonio Magro) to attack Isabelle, Bill will stop at nothing to protect his wife from harm. “Blood Orange” will not be the first film to feature Iggy Pop the actor, as he’s appeared in many films and TV shows over the years. He has acted in Jim Jarmusch’s “Dead Man” and “Coffee and Cigarettes,” as well as the SyFy TV movie “Sharktopus vs. Whalewolf.” He has also had recurring roles on the short-lived series “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland,” and the ’90s Nickelodeon live-action series “The Adventures of Pete & Pete.”

“Blood Orange” will be Toby Tobias’ debut feature. It’s set to be released on May 17th via Invincible Pictures.
