Sarah from Seattle asked

Who has the best food truck in Los Angeles?

I'll be in LA for a weekend and I've heard all about the food truck scene there. What are the best food trucks and where can I find them?

Yes!!! Why does food from a truck always taste so much better? Who knows. But it does.

Anyways - yes, stalk Kogi until you make it to them. They're the OGs of the food truck scene and still the best by far. If you're flying American, you can also find a Kogi 'Truck' in Terminal 4 - you know, just in case you need a second round of spicy pork tacos (you probably will). Also, don't skip the Chocolate Tres Leches Cake if they have it, you can thank me later.

On Sunday's at the Melrose Trading Post Flea Market there's always a food truck out front. You mentioned you'll be here over the weekend, so you'll get a food truck + an awesome flea market. Can you say, WIN?

Cool Haus is another absolute food truck fave. Homemade cookies sandwiching awesome ice cream - seriously, it's amazing. They also have The Coolhaus Shop brick and mortar shop, just in case you can't make it to the truck. My friend claims they have fried chicken and waffle ice cream at the shop, so you'll have to report back and let me know if this is true! Please say it is!

There is no question that the best, by FAR is the Kogi truck.  Follow them on Twitter or go to their website at http://kogibbq.com/ and see the schedule for the trucks.  Roy Choi was a Food and Wine Magazine top chef winner for his Kogi trucks.  The man is a brilliant chef, and not just for someone cooking from a truck but brilliant compared to any chef.  If you haven't tried Kogi yet you've missed out on something truly special.

I mean it's hard to go wrong with any taco truck in Los Angeles, but it WOULD be wrong to leave without going to a taco truck. Best time to do that is on a weekend night for your nightcap. Couple of my favorites have been in Culver City at El Gallito or Ruben's. Get a California burrito!

If you haven't had any of Roy Choi's amazeballs food, then def find Kogi.

Some other faves:

Lobsta Truck

Jogasaki (It's a sushi burrito! A SUSHI. BURRITO)

Son of a Bun. The Avoegg sandwich is borderline life changing.

If you're here on the first Friday of the month, stop by Abbot Kinneywhere the entire street will be filled with trucks. There's also shopping, places to go out, etc.

Cousin's Maine Lobster is one of my absolute favorites!

For a variety, you can usually find several food trucks parked outside of LACMA during lunch hour if you're here on Friday or Monday surrounding your weekend. :)

Burnt to a Crisp has great BBQ. We hired them to come to our house for my husband's 40th birthday.
