Trader Joe's sets opening date for Fort Lauderdale store

The Fort Lauderdale store will become the eighth in South Florida and 17 in the state.

Trader Joe's said it plans to open its doors Oct. 15 at 1590 N. Federal Highway, within the 1600 Commons shopping plaza now under construction.

The estimated 10,100-square-foot shop will follow the Sept. 25 opening of another store in 2296 S. University Drive, within the Tower Shops in Davie, according to the Sun Sentinel.

The Fort Lauderdale store will become the eighth in South Florida and 17 in the state.
