NEW Piece! Creepy, Crawly, Aaaak…There’s Something in My Piano!

I was sitting at the piano one day, enjoying my new studio in our small, brand new house. I had just finished playing when I glanced down at my feet and saw the most horrific looking, hairy, gigantic spider coming out from under my upright piano! Though I’m not normally outrageously scared of spiders, I screamed and absolutely lost my mind as I jumped on top of the piano bench. The rest of the story is in the program note of this piece, but that explains the inspiration for this rather creepy song! The studio license is on SALE for a limited time.

Something in My Piano

Something in My Piano 3D CroppedPerfect for beginners who only know a few notes, this early elementary piece lets slap the keys (as if to kill the spider emerging from the keys) and uses easy and fun patterns using the whole keyboard. They will sound feel like a million dollars and wow the audience with their mature sounding skills!

Teach the patterned intro and ending by rote and your students will read the rest even if they’ve only been on the staff a short while!

  1. THANK YOU for this! I have a little guy who just started about two months ago, and his ONLY wish this year is to learn “Mob Bop”. His older sister played it last spring — and he’s eager to learn all her pieces …. by ear …… 🙁 This will give him a great piece to learn BEFORE his two older siblings get a change to, and I can encourage him to learn to read, using the *advantage* of having a good ear, and coupling that with teaching himself patterns by sound and by feel at the piano. Bravo!

  2. Awww…that’s so fun to hear, Anna! Thank you for telling me that and I’m glad this piece will be a special one just for him!
