Showtime Lands on PlayStation Vue at a Discount

PlayStation_Vue_Showtime

Revealed at E3, Showtime, the premium cable channel, is making its grand debut on PlayStation Vue starting today. For those not familiar, PlayStation Vue, which is available in select cities (with more rollouts planned), allows you to watch television without a cable subscription while offering a host of features like cloud DVR.

Alongside its arrival on PlayStation Vue, PlayStation Plus members will also receive a discount, making the channel that much more enticing. More details after the jump.

The best part of Showtime on PS Vue is that you can subscribe to the channel without needing any other packages from Sony which include Access, Core, and Elite with a starting price of $50. That means for $10.99 a month ($8.99 for PS+ members), you can enjoy Showtime and get on it shows like

  • Homeland
  • Ray Donovan
  • House of Lies
  • Masters of Sex
  • Dexter

Not sure about the service? A 30-day free trial should make it even easier after which you can either go with the service or cancel. Unlike cable, there are no contracts to be signed which means you can cancel and sign up again whenever you’d like. Now if we could only get HBO as well… though that’s likely just a matter of time.

PlayStation Vue is currently available on PS3, PS4, and iPad.
