THE LAST KNOCK presents: Best and Worst Horror Movies 2022
Best and Worst Horror Movies 2022: Interesting Take…
Each year, Jonny Numb and Billy Crash come up with their best and worst horror movies for the year, but 2022 is a little different.
One of the issues with current horror films is that fans expect so little from commercial and low budget horror that “good enough” has replaced “excellent”
The Best
When it comes to Best and Worst Horror 2022, the best are definitely worthy of mention. In fact, the year may have been better than expected.
That’s due to different takes on old themes, filmmakers taking quality chances, and actors delivering on all fronts, as well as those souls behind the camera.
Listen in to hear what happens…
The Worst
Bad is definitely bad and the worst of the bench is enough to make The Last Knock‘s collective blood boil.
Once again, another year is marked with pathetic sequels, regurgitated plots, weak acting, deplorable directing, and narratives that make so-called filmmakers, look “Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!”
Billy and Jonny have taken more than enough hits for the team, so heed our warnings before you try to catch up on all the films you missed.
Though The Last Knock isn’t sure if your list matches theirs, we hope you enjoy the journey of terror through the countdown.
The plot sickens: The Last Knock is kind enough to rewind with VHS Horror (featuring special guest, Greg Palko)!

THE LAST KNOCK presents VHS Horror
VHS Horror with Special Guest Collector: Greg Palko!
When in comes to VHS horror collecting, Greg Palko, of Palko Designs on Twitter and Instagram, is one serious aficionado. His collection is vast, to say the least, and includes many rare samples even the most diehard horror fan may not be privy to.
For the Love of Physical Media
The Last Knock horror podcast sits down with Palko (in his living room, no less) to discuss the love of VHS horror collecting – and DVDs for that matter.
We discuss the desire for physical media, which includes true ownership in lieu of downloading films that can “vanish” over time. But we also return to those days of visiting the local video store to explore all of the VHS cover art to find the perfect VHS horror films for the weekend.
There’s just something about holding a movie in your hand, like vinyl or a CD for music, that one just can’t get from a no-nothing download.
Enjoy the show and feel free to let us know what VHS horror you cling to even if you don’t have a VHS player on hand!
The plot sickens: The Last Knock takes a closer look at Rob Zombie’s Halloween!

Customer Reviews
Billy is the best !
I’ve been listening ever since I was blessed to be able to have Billy Crash as my college professor.. hes by far my favorite professor i’ve ever had. Truly Inspiring 🤍
Diverse Discussion With a Dash of Laughs
Billy Crash and Jonny Numb discuss horror films from a decidedly intellectual point of view. Expect literary criticism-style reviews with a socially sensitive perspective, but that does not shy away from controversial opinion or topic. There's also the occassional bad pun. Great show!
The Last Knock is First-Rate
Absolutely and without a doubt -the- singular best podcast on horror. Two experts (and the odd guest(s)) really analyze the material for what works or doesn’t. They look for metaphor and theme — important elements IMO in terms of any kind of effective reviewers. Subscribe immediately.
