I love finding simple healthy products to use for my family, especially when I’m cooking in the kitchen. I don’t have much extra time for difficult recipes or ingredients so I get really excited when I find convenient alternatives to the typical norm. I recently worked with Rigoni di Asiago to review their Fiordifrutta and Nocciolata, which my kids are raving about and requesting more of so I was thrilled to learn that they also have a new product that is now available.
Rigoni di Asiago’s Dolcedì is an all-natural liquid sweetener that is actually derived from 100% organic apples! This low-glycemic alternative to traditional sugar or other sweeteners is a great choice since it offers 25% fewer calories than table sugar. Dolcedì can be used as a sugar or honey substitute in the same proportions or even in beverages like coffee and tea.
Dad’s Pancake Recipe:
~ 2 Eggs, Separated
~1 1/2 cups Milk
~1/2 Cup Oil (I use Olive)
~1 3/4 Cups Flour
~1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
~1 Tablespoon Dolcedì
~1 Teaspoon Salt
In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff, not dry. Set aside.
Beat egg yolks, milk, oil, flour, baking powder, sweetener, and salt in a bowl.
Fold beaten egg whites into 2nd bowl. Stir gently until combined.
Optional: Refrigerate batter for 1/2 hour.
Spray griddle with PAM or oil and heat.
Pour pancake mix until griddle and fry until done.
Serve hot with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
The Dolcedì definitely did give our pancakes a sweeter taste that was different than table sugar and everyone loved it! The pancakes quickly disappeared with raving reviews in their wake.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. Great stuff. Would like to order some, but Amazon is much to expensive. A little health food store 50 miles from here has it.
Also would like a bigger bottle of it if possible.
