Talks about mass killings in Anbar are untrue, says Iraq’s Defense Minister

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Defense Minister Khaled al-Obeidi denied on Sunday, what was claimed by the media about the existence of mass killing operations against the Iraqi soldiers by ISIS in Anbar province, while pointed out that the security forces have full control on Nazim Thar Thar.

Obeidi said in an interview for a number of media, including IraqiNews.com, “The security forces were able to reach the area near Karma district center,” noting that, “A number of media platforms and social networks picked up inaccurate news about Nazim al-Taqsim and Trebil port to hide the successes and victories of the security forces in al-Karma.”

Obeidi stated that, “Social media and a number of news agencies have published fabricated news about mass killings and it’s not true,” adding that, “Nazim Thar Thar is controlled by our troops and has not been subjected any attack.
