After attending some of the largest festivals in Europe this summer, I wanted to dial it back for a weekend, and when I came across the debut Amsterdam Woods Festival in The Netherlands, I knew I had found the perfect match. The boutique ADF took place about thirty minutes from the city center in Amsterdam’s llargest park. Indie rock, camping, and (mostly) beautiful weather made for a wonderful three days. But what really sold the festival for me, as has been the case all summer, were the extremely welcoming and friendly Dutch locals.
