Alien: Isolation is a terrific horror game, and a franchise I get extremely excited for. Alien: Isolation is also one of the few "Alien" based games that wasn't a let down.

I actually played it on PS4, but I got rid of my copy quite a while ago and never finished it. Honestly, I found it far too scary (that's a good thing). It really does deliver, and it looks like it will come to Linux.

Thanks to SteamDB:

As always, this isn't an official confirmation, but good supporting evidence towards a port!

About the game (Official)
HOW WILL YOU SURVIVE?

Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger. Fifteen years after the events of Alien™, Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda enters a desperate battle for survival, on a mission to unravel the truth behind her mother's disappearance.

As Amanda, you will navigate through an increasingly volatile world as you find yourself confronted on all sides by a panicked, desperate population and an unpredictable, ruthless Alien.

Underpowered and underprepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive.

Check out Alien: Isolation on Steam, but don't you dare buy it until the Linux version is out. Don't let yourself be disappointed if it turns out not to be true. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Nobody comfirmed its a port, so theres at least a chance it could be native. But I would guess its an eON by VP.

Note the "Linux - Data" depot. VP ports have a shared data depot because they only need the Windows data files. If I had to make a guess I'd say it's either Aspyr or Feral, but it could also be an in-house port.

You're confusing stuff here. Feral and Aspyr do ports, too. Native ports.

That would be incredible!
(I really need to start my list of Windows forum users telling that game x or y will never come to Linux...)

Very nice. I've been meaning to play this on PS4, but now I'll hold off and wait for the Linux version. With so many good games coming to Linux recently, I have plenty to keep me busy anyway.

So if it's not a port, what is it? A little hint, a port is a port, no matter if it's native or not.
