It's September and to get you in the book-loving, back-to-school mood, we've gone through thousands of Young Adult books to come up with this list of the Top 100 YA Books of all time.
These aren't books that your teachers told you to read. (Though there are a few of those in here, too!) No, this list is the Top 100 YA Books as determined by you, the Goodreads members who truly love YA literature. And it's not just a popularity contest. Every single one of these books also has a rating of 4.0 or above, so whether you're a dystopia die-hard who re-reads The Hunger Games every year or a lover of contemporary tales like The Fault in their Stars, take a look at the Top 100 YA Books to be reminded of old favorites and to discover great new recommendations.

Love the list! I have read 20 of them and I have in my library 3 more form the list waiting to be read!
I've read 13 books and 23 books on my to-read shelf in this list .The remainders are simply not my genre
Read 22 and a lot of the others are already on my TBR.
I've read 37! Mostly the contemporary and dystopian. If the limit was under 4.0 stars, I would have included:I Am Number Four (Pittacus Lore)
The Knife of Never Letting Go (Patrick Ness)
Before I Fall (Lauren Oliver)
Uglies (Scott Westerfield)
I agree with Selena. The Knife of Never Letting Go should definitely be there and maybe Uglies. Other than that, good list. I've read 14 of them.
Agree with Robert - mainly a recent list. Many great ones on it, but many great ones missing.
16 Read. As stated omits a lot of classics
I've read 10 but miss "Tuck Everlasting" from the list.
Definitely not the Top 100 of All Time. Missing so many top books from the past 50 years. At least you are missing all the top Science Fiction writers; Asimov, Heinlein, Silverberg, etc etc. You need to redo your list.
23 and a lot of the other are already on my "want to read" list.

I've read 16 and have 4 on my 'to read' shelf. A little surprised, but impressed that 2 Kelley Armstrong books are on this list. I love ALL of her stuff, but a lost of people don't know about her books.
I've read 51! And I know there's buzz around all of them, so it's clearly a well thought out one. Great list!

I've read 27 on this list but have copies of many more that I haven't read yet or want to read!
I strongly recommend The Miseducation of Cameron Post. I couldn't put it down! So much covered - death of parents, sexuality, religion, first love & sex, friendship - but none of it feels forced. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
ACOTAR is a NA, sorry. But the rest of the list is cool :) I don't think Divergent should be so high in the ranking but THG and HP took the first spots YEI!!! :)

I'm happy to see Kelley Armstrong in this list, but nothing by L.J.Smith, author of Vampire Diaries and the Secret Circle which sparked TV shows. Her books defined my teen years in the mid-late 90's early 2000's. I consider this list incomplete without a mention of her works including vampire diaries, secret circle, night world, dark visions, the forbidden game and others.
I've read 29 of these and my average rating of those was 3.6. I love this list and the way I can see my own ratings included in it. Thank you, Goodreads!

I havent read all of these, but I'm looking for boolks with minorities/POC main charactets. Do any of these books fit that category? Not including Elanor & Park as well as The Gathering

I'm a 55 year old woman and I've only read 15 of them with another 5 on my "wanting to read" list. Most of the rest I probably will never read as they aren't my favorite genres. I do love good YA books!
I'm surprised - and very happy - to see that Twilight is NOT on this list :)
I've read 19 so far and I'm currently reading another one. Several more are already on my TBR list.
Read a few of these (but want to reread them)...Alot already on my radar (or shelf!)...

There missed a lot of good books published earlier that 20 years ago. This is more whats popular now, not best of all time.
Lots of relative unknowns included to the detriment of some amazing classics to be honest.But yay, Code Name Verity!
4 read and 7 on TBR. I highly doubt those numbers would increase as most of these are not my cup of tea.

I've read 18 from this list, 48 are on my kindle and book shelf.
I've read 81, but that's because I spent...what? 2 years?...reading almost only YA. However, I've been gradually shying away from the genre since last year. It has just lost it's appeal to me.
11 so far, it's a good list. There are a lot of books that had already marked as to-read, so this is promising!
ok, that's your methodology. but you missed a good number of books, for example, King Dork!- definitely belongs.
