Louise's work has continued to be inspired by her travels since completing her Fine Art Degree at the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design in 2004. Initially known for her distinctive oil on canvas paintings of classic 1950's USA and Cuban cars, Louise has since developed her work and now uses gloss on aluminium, whilst still exploring similar ideas and concepts to her earlier work. Strongly influenced by propoganda posters and Japanese woodblock prints, she draws inspiration from the colours and vibrancy of the places she visits. Focusing on the abstract shapes and forms of the landscapes and architecture that she encounters, Louise's work is distinctive and colourful and demonstrates her passion for different cultures and faraway lands.
