What's the one thing that tennis has always been missing?

If "marine life" was your immediate answer, it's time to book a vacation to Dubai.

According to Curbed, a Polish architect recently proposed building an underwater tennis court that would sit submerged off the coast of Dubai. And if the renderings are any indication, the view would be quite astounding (though likely hard to look away from when it was actually time to watch a tennis match).

Don't get too excited just yet—the Institution of Structural Engineers in London sees plenty of cracks in the plan's proposed glass ceiling. Building the court would require a 108-foot-wide continuous pane of curved glass, which could end up weighing almost a hundred tons.

Sunlight also poses a threat to the facility's fate. Depending on how deep the court is built, the natural light could either blind the players or not offer the brightness needed to see the court.

For now, watching tennis surrounded by the beauty of the sea is just a dream, but stay tuned to see if the fantasy project does come to fruition.
