  1. Once upon a time Paddy the Irishman and two other men, went into a farmyard. One of the men took a horse and the other took a cow and Paddy took a cart. On their way home they met a policeman and he asked one of the men where he got the horse and he said he had had it from (when) it was a foal. He asked the other man where he got the cow and he said he had had it (from) when it was a calk and he asked Paddy (wen) where he got the cart and he said he had had it (from) when it was a barrow.
