Get ready for some dazzling fireworks this year! Here’s a quick list of ideas to celebrate Independence Day in Fort Lauderdale all weekend. (It’s not just for tourists: a fun way to avoid the traffic and parking issues at the beach this weekend is to take the Water Taxi)

 

Friday Night Sound Waves

June 5th through August 7th 5:30- 8:30pm at the Fort Lauderdale Beach Hub near A1A & Las Olas Blvd. Free, live summer music series featuring Contemporary Jazz, Latin Jazz, Bebop, and Swing.

Fort Lauderdale 4th of July Spectacular

Saturday, July 4th from 12:30-9:30 pm on Fort Lauderdale Beach at A1A & Las Olas Blvd. Kid-friendly event with live music and a dazzling firework display names in USA Today’s “10 Best: Fourth of July Fireworks Around the USA” last year. (Fireworks start at 9pm!)

4th of July Village Street Festival

Saturday, July 4th from 5:00-9:00 pm at 2900 Belmar Street (North Beach Village Resort’s Plaza Bistro). Free family-friendly event with face painting, balloon artists, stilt walkers, jugglers and more just a block from the beach.

2nd Annual Liberty Belle 4th of July Fireworks Cruise

Saturday, July 4th from 5:30-9:30 pm at Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six. Enjoy 3 hours of cruising through Fort Lauderdale aboard the Liberty Belle Paddlewheel Riverboat. The $65 ticket includes dinner, open bar, and dessert.
