What’s the Story?
A bite-sized companion to Brain Pickings by Maria Popova.

I don’t feel that I’m using technology, I don’t feel that I’m wearing technology – I feel that I am technology. I feel no difference between the software and the brain, or the antenna and any other body part.

Fascinating short documentary about a cyborg named Neil Harbisson, who has a visual condition called achromatism – complete color-blindness – and uses an antenna that translates colors into sound waves, allowing him to hear colors via bone conduction.

Complement with the wonderful children’s book The Black Book of Colors, which allows blind kids to experience color and seeing kids to imagine what it’s like to experience the world blind.

Meanwhile, people with synesthesia naturally hear colors
