What's happened to the previous good workmanship of Sofasofa?
I already have a sofa and Madrid sofabed from this company, bought some 15/20 years ago. I was so impressed by their quality that I decided to buy another Madrid sofabed to replace the old one (moving it to another room, so will still be in use) At the time of ordering I also bought a set of replacement loose covers to put on our current sofabed, while waiting for the new one to arrive. The covers are a little long in the front, but otherwise ok.
The new sofabed was delivered on Wednesday 13th March....and taken away again the same day. I was shocked that it would have been allowed to leave the workshop in such a dreadful state.
The frame itself felt flimsy, the covers were not attached to it at all (like the one this was to replace), but were just a set of ill fitting loose covers which were far too long at the front edge and didn't fit the frame at all. The fabric on the cushions was rucked up along the seams and the front of the cushions were so obviously uneven, instead of the top and bottom piping row being parallel to each other.
I can't believe that the workforce at Sofasofa would be happy with the shoddy workmanship that has been sent out.....and, indeed, sent straight back. Once upon a time their sofas were something to be proud of.
I was told to email the accounts department for a full refund, which I did straight away, providing photographs of the sofabed too. As yet, I have had no communication from Sofasofa at all.
I am now starting the process again of looking for another sofabed elsewhere.
Surely, I cannot be the only disappointed customer on here?
