According to Gene Haas, who is a NASCAR team co-owner, the decision is still undecided. Danica Patrick is currently being sponsored by Go Daddy Inc., but they have stated it will be their last month. Go Daddy Inc. is leaving NASCAR so Patrick will have to find a new sponsor. The decision on if Danica Patrick will stay in NASCAR or move up to Formula One is still being decided.

Formula One (F1) has not had a female racer start a race for them in nearly 40 years. Danica has a good track record and is being considered. In 2008 she nearly tested for Honda. Patrick has also competed in Sprint Cup races placing 18th. She has also taken part in NASACR Sprint Cup Series race and placed 15th, 22nd, and 27th. At the NASCAR Sprint All-Star she placed 20th. There was a Sprint Showdown where she took 10th place. Patrick also managed 19th place at the NASCAR XFINITY Series in Daytona in 2014.
