There is a new program started by LG which is meant to help a few (limited) users try out the new LG G4 before it even hits US retail shelves officially. On top of that, the units will be offered at no cost to the lucky folks chosen.

Of course, there's a catch... (you knew there would be). Folks who are chosen will be required to jump through some social media hoops. Here's a quote with the description followed by the LG sign up page link.

The all-new G4 is coming, but before the big release day, LG is giving a small group of VIPs exclusive access to the device through the LG G4 Trial Program. Best of all, you could be one of them.

If you’re selected, you’ll receive a FREE brand-new G4 and a unique social media challenge to help you explore and show off the device’s full capability.

Want to be considered for the program? To be notified when enrollment starts, simply sign up below. Spots are limited, so don’t wait.

Stop by our dedicated LG G4 section for further discussion: LG G4 Forum Android Forum at DroidForums.net

Worth a shot. LG's in the running for me for a device to replace the Note 4 some day. I'm considering them or going back to Moto at this point, so I wouldn't mind a chance at a free run with this device.

I am curious about the back speaker and about how it will feel with a slightly smaller screen compared to my note 3.

I threw my hat into the ring yesterday. I'm particularly curious about the G4's camera.

Well, guess it's a little tablet then...Still don't see that info on the site.

It's in the official rules, which can be found here. Oddly enough, I don't see a link to the official rules on the entry page when I view it on a computer. But when viewed on my phone, a link to the rules is there in mobile view.

I wasn't aware of that until now. Seems a bit odd since you can't review one of the major functions of the device - cellular connectivity. I guess the thinking is to get cheaper devices out there for this giveaway, hoping that the reaction is positive to what can be used. From there, the reviewers will hopefully want to buy the full device and will encourage others to do so as well. Still seems like a strange approach to me.

That explains it then. I was on my PC & on the sign up page. Have to agree. You'd think they'd put a link to the rules there.
