It's been a busy few weeks for Prince Harry, from touring New Zealand and Australia to jetting back in time to show off his gardening skills at the Chelsea Flower Show.

And on Sunday, the 30-year-old fitted in some exercise by competing for the Jerudong Trophy at Cirencester Park Polo Club in Gloucester.

The keen equestrian clearly got heated during the charity match in aid of Centrepoint, Child Bereavement UK and WellChild, where he is a beneficiary, as he galloped across the field and shouted at teammates.

Despite his team losing the match, Harry looked in good spirits as he conversed with other competitors.

He wore a green shirt emblazoned with the number one, symbolising his offence position.

The match comes just two days after he was reported to have traveled to Sandringham estate to meet three-week-old Princess Charlotte for the first time.

According to the Mirror, Harry was spotted driving through nearby town Brandon on his way to Anmer Hall in Norfolk, the ten-bedroom mansion where Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge have been spending time with their newborn daughter.

Both princes have made a habit of playing in the annual Jerudong Trophy match, with the Duke of Cambridge refusing to miss it even when the birth of his son was imminent in 2013.

Last year, then-11-month-old Prince George attended with his parents, making quite the impression on guests as he adorably grabbed a polo stick in an attempt to join in the fun.

When he wasn’t exploring on his own, he held his mother’s hand and toddled around the polo field, looking smart in his white polo shirt teamed with red and white striped dungarees and black shoes.

At the end of last month, Prince Harry began his four-week military training tour of Australia and New Zealand.

He flew back in mid-May for the Chelsea Flower Show, where he was one of the first attendees when the gates were opened at the grounds of the Royal Hospital Gardens.

For the third year running, Harry had a hand in the design of one of the event's show-gardens.

Aides said Prince Harry had been 'extremely nervous' as he waited anxiously to show his grandmother the Queen around the stunning Sentebale exhibit, designed to mimic the wild landscape of Lesotho, the landlocked African kingdom in which it works with vulnerable, HIV positive children.

But the prince's design, on which he collaborated with creator Matthew Keightley, was said to have won the sovereign over.

'She told Harry that he should be very proud,' said one close to the visit.

Members of the royal family have been keen polo players since King Edward VIII took up the sport as Prince of Wales.

He then introduced his friend the future Earl Mountbatten of Burma to polo during a tour of India in 1921 and 1922, who then encouraged his nephew the Duke of Edinburgh to play.

Prince Philip founded the Household Brigade Polo Club at Smith's Lawn in Windsor Great Park and played there regularly before retiring from the game in 1970.

Prince Charles started young, playing on his first polo pony San Quinina when he was 15 as part of a team captained by his father in 1963.

Although he retired from the sport in 2005, both Princes William and Harry are now keen players.
