Awards shows don’t come much bigger than the Oscars, and Twitter loves to party alongside the stars – this year, almost six million tweets were sent about the 87th Academy Awards, reaching 13 million eyeballs.

Altogether, the Oscars generated more than 800 million tweet impressions throughout the night.

This data comes courtesy of the Nielsen Twitter TV Ratings, which saw the Academy Awards rank number one amongst all major TV shows on Twitter this week.
