1. Joanna says:

Ummm…. There are “vampires” in the title of your book — I don’t see too many Amish fiction readers even starting your book in the first place.

  2. Sparksofember says:

    lol – what Joanna said.

Plus, I think the CBA may sell readers short. I have read a lot of Amish romances over the years – the ridiculous sanitation is what annoys me about them. And I have read several in recent years that definitely up the ante in the steamy department and were very well received and all the better for being more realistic.

  3. HG Ferguson says:

It’s one of those curious ironies of truth that the vast majority of those who publish and read these things do not care for speculative fiction.  And yet what astounding fantasies indeed they weave about Amish farms.

  4. J. Hooligan says:

I do have to agree about the vampire = turn off for Amish readers.

Did I ever tell you the story where my parents tried to convince me that Amish Romance isn’t a genre and those books don’t really exist, let alone sell?  Apparently pointing out that I literally stalk Amazon new releases and best sellers DAILY meant nothing.

What do you think?
