SEASIDE, Calif. — First team selections Bianca Noriega (Ventura/Camarillo HS) and Cori Reinhardt (Riverside Poly) led a trio of Cal State Monterey Bay softball players named NCAA Division II All-America by both the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and Daktronics. Reinhardt and Noriega were both first team selections by the NFCA and second team honorees by Daktronics.

Sophomore first baseman Madison Casto (Sunnyvale/Homestead HS) joined them on the NFCA second team and as an honorable mention pick on the Daktronics team as selected by the NCAA Division II sports information directors.

"Having three players recognized at the national level says a great deal about the CSUMB softball program," says Head Coach Andrea Kenney (@Andrea_Kenney). "This is a fitting way for Cori Reinhardt to end her career. Madison and Bianca were amazing this season and I'm excited to see what they'll do for an encore. I am more then proud of all they have accomplished."

Though all three players are highly deserving of the accolades, Reinhardt's accomplishment is the most noteworthy. She becomes the just the second player in the storied history of CCAA softball team become a 3–time first team All–American. She joins former Cal State Northridge standout pitcher Debbie Dickman, who earned the honor four times (1987–90), on that exclusive list.

Reinhardt ended her final collegiate campaign with a 30-4 mark and a 1.81 ERA. The 30 wins were a school season record while her 1.81 ERA ranks No. 4 in school history. Her 86 career wins also are a CSUMB record and rank No. 7 on the CCAA all-time list.

As good as she was as a pitcher, she was even better as a hitter. She finished 2015 with a .417 batting average, the third time in her collegiate career she hit better than .400. Her career batting average of .409 ranks No. 5 in CCAA history. She finishes her collegiate career ranked among the CCAA all-time leaders in hits (No. 10, 260), doubles (No. 4, 54), on-base percentage (No. 4, .494), RBIs (No. 3, 168) and walks (No. 5, 108).

For her part, Casto led the Otters with a .444 batting average in 2015. She added 21 doubles, eight home runs and 51 RBIs. Noriega, meanwhile, hit .411 while leading the team with nine homers and 53 RBIs. She also becomes the first player in school history to record 50 or more RBIs in a season twice. She drove in 52 in 2014.

CSUMB concluded the second winningest season in school history (47-12 overall) by hosting the NCAA West Regional for the second consecutive season last weekend.
