DETROIT, MI - Minivans and station wagons seem to be a given, but Kelley Blue Book's list of the 15 Best Family Cars of 2015 includes some surprises, too.
KBB said its editors worked with families in determining which vehicles in the 2015 model year best fit the average American clan and its varying needs, ranging from off-road utility to compact economy.
"Once again, we recruited families to assist our expert editors in this laborious evaluation, putting the Best Family Car candidates to a real-life test, including vehicles in two new car categories - full-size pickup trucks and compact cars," Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director and executive market analyst for Kelley Blue Book's KBB.com, said in a release. "Evaluated on comfort and driving, safety, child seats, cargo space, rear-seat entertainment, and extra features, this year's group of winners are deemed the most worthy of family duty."
