Beautifully Elegant Knowlton Court Wedding

Hello lovelies,

Happy New Year! Today I am excited to share with you the beautifully elegant Knowlton Court Wedding of Rob & Christina who married back in September. Built in 1585 Knowlton Court is a grade listed house and not only is the house itself & the surrounding grounds stunning the interior is too with its opulent features. The Great Hall with it’s marble checkered floor, carved fireplace and knights in armour statues highlight an enchanting bygone era.

Christina knew she wanted their decor to have an elegant and timeless feel that tied in perfectly with the spectacular backdrop that Knowlton Court offered. It was a pleasure working with Christina & Rob to create their wedding florals, the colour pallet was made up of classic whites & creams with hints of foliage that complimented the hanging tapestry’s in the Great Hall.

The ceremony decor, we placed silver votives made up of roses, lisianthus, astrantia & gyp with bottles of single stem roses, astilbe finished with pretty lace ribbon & tea lights.

How stunning does Christina look in her wedding dress, with it’s delicate lace detail and long trailing veil it is seriously swoon worthy!

For the top table, voluptuous candelabra arrangements made up of hydrangeas, roses, dahlias, phlox and lisianthus one placed at either end. A table grouping design for the middle of the table was created made up of a collection of silver hurricane vases, votives & tea lights.

Christina & Rob’s daughter, Freya looking adorable in her flower girl dress like a little princess walking down the isle with Christina’s best friend and bridesmaid.

After the ceremony the Great Hall was transformed for the wedding breakfast, the table & place names were designed to tie in with Christina & Robs wedding stationary and table plan which included their initials a lovely personal touch. Each table had a different love quote in beautiful white photo frames. The floral centre pieces were made up of silver punch bowls and big blousy blooms which included; roses, hydrangeas, phlox and stocks which give off a heavenly scent.

The cake table was designed & styled by the bride herself, isn’t it gorgeous! It was a real labour of love for Christina which she really enjoyed doing. I love all the little details that fit the theme of their wedding so perfectly, the delicate lace table cloth and all the scrummy treats in whites & creams to match the rest of their decor. For the flowers we created two designs in co-ordinating colours on glass silver stands, one placed either side of the cake.

Thank you so much to Christina & Rob for letting us be part of their special day and for sharing their gorgeous photos captured by Michelle Lindsell Photography.
