Dauphin County police chiefs group sets trick or treat for Oct. 31

The Dauphin County Chiefs of Police Association has designated trick or treat for 6-8 p.m. Oct. 31 in the following municipalities:

Mechanicsburg held it's Halloween parade on Tuesday.

Derry Township

Halifax

Harrisburg City

Highspire Borough

Hummelstown Borough

Lower Paxton Township

Lower Swatara Township

Lykens Borough

Millersburg Borough

Paxtang Borough

Penn State Harrisburg

Steelton Borough

Susquehanna Township

Swatara Township

The association advises trick-or-treaters to travel in a group or with an adult; plan a route in advance; use reflective tape, glow sticks or a flashlight to improve visibility; wear well-fitting costumes and masks that do not obstruct vision; only visit well-lit houses; use sidewalks and crosswalks; and have an adult check candy before it is eaten.

Cumberland County: Camp Hill, 6 p.m. Oct. 29; Carlisle, 7 p.m. Oct. 21; East Pennsboro Township, 7 p.m. Oct. 30; New Cumberland, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22.

Dauphin County: Derry Township, 7 p.m. Oct. 22; East Hanover Township, 7 p.m. Oct. 27; Hummelstown, 7 p.m. Oct. 28; Paxtang, 7 p.m. Oct. 22.

Perry County: Marysville, 6:30 p.m. Oct. 21.
