Where Would You Go for 2 Weeks?

Definitely your choice should be Argentina, beginning with Buenos Aires, the city where I live and where you will find an amazing variety and plenty to do. Then from here, as you say, you could visit the vineyards in Mendoza or go to Iguazú Falls or know the Perito Moreno Glacier in El Calafate or explore the stunning scenery of the north or visit northern Patagonia (Argentina). From Bariloche to 7 lakes route or travel to the end of the world, Ushuaia or do whale watching in Puerto Madryn ...

Well, as you will see, alternatives not miss. My country is very rich geographically speaking and foreign people say that we are very good persons, so you should have to check yourself ;)

Colombia!!! We have coffee, mountains, pristine beaches, more than 10 unesco world heritage site like Cartagena, San Agustin, a snow peak near the ocean, Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta National Park or a national park with amazing beaches: Tayrona National Natural Park, Bogota, the capital, with more than 8 million people and the biggest pre Colombian gold museum and so far many other things! Let me know if you need more info.

I'd fly to Valencia  for a few days to catch up with friends and perhaps catch some of the preparations for Las Fallas, then I'd fly to Israel and spend every minute exploring, eating, and learning as much as I can about the history and culture of the land and its people.

I would tour Italy!

I'm heading to the envision music festival in Costa Rica in a couple days to do an article and couldn't be happier! This will be my 7th trip and I am leading a group for 7 days after the festival. Thanks for everyone at Trippy, wouldn't have gotten the job without you!

Iceland. I have a lot there that I still need to get to ... Inside The Volcano, a few mountains I didn't get to see, finishing the Laugavegur to Þórsmörk ... probably a few things I'm forgetting.

I would recommend spending your two weeks in Greece and the Middle East. 

Greece has so much to offer - the ancient ruins of Athens and Peloponnesia to say the least; the picturesque Greek islands; the delicious food; the unique culture, both modern and ancient.

As far as the Middle East is concerned, I would recommend Istanbul - a must-visit metropolis with lots of history and culture, both Byzantine and Islamic; Israel; Beirut; Petra.

If you have to pick two places - one week each, I would recommend Greece (Athens and islands), and Turkey(Istanbul and perhaps Bodrum).

Macatawa. The Wizard of Oz Frank Baum lived there. He took my neighbor Dorothy back and forth on the ferry from Chicago. She was an orphan and was going to visit her Aunt. My Grandmother bought a show poodle from her and named him Toto. 

 Biloxi is like the old Florida. All of the Coastline near there is sacred ground. Dauphin Island being the most spiritual place. Which is why the Audabon Center is located there. New Orleans is less than 90 minutes away. I navigate to Café du Mondeand park where l can. I eat across the street and then take a Carriage ride around the French Quarter. If you stay at Beau Rivage, designed by Mrs. Steve Wynn, it has yellow and blue overtones... Nice way to feel the South. 

Hwy 87 (Needles Highway) South Dakota. If you like watching the Buffaloes roaming in a herd towards your car one second after you enter Custer State Park, then this is a place for you. The Eye of the Needle is a strange rock formation. Massive unusually shaped rocks. This is the place many motorcycles love riding through in August during Sturgis Motorcycle Event. Down the road is the most sacred Indian Artifact exhibition on display at Crazy Horse. If you spend Extra you can go to the top of the Mountain. Exquisite! Funded by the American People! Near there is Mt Rushmore. Going in is another spiritual experience. Quartz is abundant there. Also large white Mountain Goats. Keep a camera ready! There is a place past Sturgis called Bear Butte. It is worth going to. You get the experience of The Primary People.

Kaua'i or Scotland. Quite a difference, huh?

Island hopping in Greece or eating my way around Italy.

To O'ahu . . . Kailua. . . Lanikai Beach . . . Waimānalo . . . Oh the soft air and soft smells of my second spiritual home!

Well, somewhere I can marry my fiancé. Maybe Las Vegas. But I'd love to take her to Paris or Fiji. Somewhere super fancy, remote, exotic, romantic, lovely, and FUN!!

I would go to Tenerife or Palma de Mallorca.

It's not that cold in Dubrovnik but it's windy and I am longing for the island vacation to have a swim and relax on a sunlounger to get ready for the upcoming tourist  season.

Somewhere where I can work on a tan and get away from all this darn snow! My last few trips have been in Europe, so I think I would head some place tropical. St Thomas or St John would be nice. Although if this was an all expenses paid trip I would like to explore Thailand.

Hawaii

Two weeks is a pretty short time for anything really long-haul, so from Australia I'd definitely look at perhaps doing a bit of island hopping, say Cook Islands and French Polynesia, especially Tahiti. Another place on my bucket list that I could easily find a nice palm tree and some great food to laze away two weeks is Maldives

I'll start us off by saying it's cooooooold here in Chicago, so I would definitely head to fairer weather. Perhaps Argentina to visit Buenos Aires and Mendoza or some beach time in Thailand!

Of course I would like to go for United Kingdom to see its wonderful natural spots that are famous for its natural beauty. I think it will be my first priority to spend 2 weeks there and would like to visit the Peak District and Tate Modern, London. 

Europe! Very specifically, I'd take a train ride through Europe, stopping at the specific places I'm interested in seeing, such as London, Berlin,  and Memorial and Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau. 

Southeast Asia. Nowhere specific to land in, but just get there and backpack for the 2 weeks,

Where would I not go would be better. More bang for two weeks South America, fly to Peru checkout Lima while traveling by bus, make my way north to Chiclyo (?) not as famous as Aguas Calientes, but great site. Then bus it to Colombia. You got to be adventurous as this travel modedon't  fit everone lifestyle. Great way to meet the locals and SEE the countries plus the weather is wonderful at this time. There is also Brazil. Now that carnaval is over, best time to discover as tourist areas are quite, easy to find hotels and tourist places are less crowded, like Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, beaches are not packed, Ubatuba, Parachii, Mina Grange, Brasilia great right now. If I only had two weeks!!

At the moment my favourite place is Italy. It's a wonderful country to while away some time in. The weather is usually good from March until November, the rail system is excellent (and cheap) with stations in many of the small towns, the regional food is wonderful and the art and culture is very much part of life. The places I love most are Bergamo, Verona, Venice, Ostuni, Lecce, Parma, Florence, Siena and Bologna. Regions worth exploring are Puglia, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany and Lombardy. The lakes (Como, Garda and Ischia) are worth a few days wandering and are served by rail and water bus. Driving in Italy is also doable but there's nothing like travelling through the countryside by train - stopping in places you think you might like!

Italy. No doubt. More specifically I would travel to Alba and Cinque Terre. There are so many beautiful and fascinating places in Italy that are not over-run by tourists. Of course, given two weeks I would have to spend time in Rome, Parma, and Florence as well. 

France 

It's been on my must-visit list since high school when I was a straight A French student. I even studied the language for 2 years in college, but never got to go. It's the country that got away. 

Rent a house right on the beach in Newport Beach, CA. Dinner in Laguna Beach, a day or 2 at Disneyland, lazy days on the beach, bike rides to the Pier. There are a million things to do.

Barcelona

Somewhere warm!!!  I have been dreaming about the Galapagos alot lately. 

Fly to Hobart in Tasmania, rent a car, and drive.

I would take my flight from Delta airlines to Istanbull than take a connection flight to Dalaman Airport for Hisaronu/Fethiye. Rent a room five stars, including bed, lunch, dinner with a mediterranean  sea view for two person just for 100usd. Pernight.. then rent a scooter or a jeep for two weeks for only 500usd. Means you can have your maldive dreams for only 2000 usd (flights not included). If you don't believe me please check the website of "oludeniz" and if you pay a penny more then 2000 usd I will cover rest of your expenses!

Without hesitation, Italy! Fly into Venice then take a train to Florence and from there travel through Tuscany and towards the east coast to Cinque Terre and then to Pisa. Fly home from Pisa. You'll get a wonderful feel for Italy and return again and again. I once spent 2 weeks just in Rome. There is so much to do. 

Also, so much to do in South American and the food is good and cheap as long as you avoid Brazil!

No doubt about it, I would go to Paris, and then London and Eurostar for a second week.

If I have 2 weeks off and money isn't huge battle I would take Baltic and Scandinavian cruise. Before going on Cruise I would visit Rovaniemi for all year round Christmas and have chance to meet Santa and elf in real life.  I am crazy about christmas and it doesn't meatter which part of year I get to enjoy it.

Then head to cruise which starts from Helsinki and covers amazing places such scenic Fjords , Amazing cities such as Stockholm Bergen Oslo and all amazing Viking history. 

I would finish the cruise and visit Copenhagen on way out. 

Alternately, If you want to try distinct country - you can head to India Enjoy magnificent Taj Mahal, wonderful odd city Delhi and enjoy festival of holi (Festival of Colors) in places like Jaipur where you play holi with royalty. 

If I could wait till April , I would head to Kyoto and Osaka, where entire nation waits for cherry blossom and there is festivity in air and fireworks everywhere. Something you should never discount in life is Chinese and Japanese fire shows. They are amazing. 

How about someplace to do a 10 yoga retreat with raw foods and a full body cleanse.  2 weeks is about right.  Come  back feeling totally revived!!  A vacation investing in your health is well worth it.  (Make it eco friendly and your golden).

Great question!

Without any question, South America, which I've never been to, and more particularly Chile. I'd do a bit of trekking in Patagonia, find a glacier, camp in the wilderness, explore Pan de Azúcar National Park, drink some pisco, and chill out on a secluded beach. BOOM. 

Myanmar, as I really enjoyed the film "The Lady" and want to see how the new female president has managed to change,open up, and improve the country .Also, the scenery looks beautiful and the ordinary folk seem so warm and friendly.

My second choice would be Vietnam. My favourite show of all time was "Miss Saigon" and I have always wanted to visit there. 

Third choice would be Cuba, as once U.S.A. start infiltrating there, it will change for the worst!! Again, I loved the t.v. series "Auf Wiedersehen Pet" set in Havana, I want to see the lovely crumbly architecture and huge old cars for myself.

Back to O'ahu Hawaii.  I was just there 2 weeks ago and I would go back in a heartbeat.  

Curacao, Netherlands, and Antilles

I was born there maybe that's why it is still my favorite place to be. 

First weekend of September it hosts the North Sea Jazz festival and that is such a fantastic experience! When you have done that you will never skip it whatever is more important! 

The atmosphere is relaxed, very good facilities and you can connect even with Bruno Mars while in concert! Amazing!

Italy, I live in Milan, you have so many places to visit around here, like Florence, Venice, Rome, Pisa, and many others.

The Azores

Right now I'd also love to escape cold weather but wouldn't want to spend all of my time on the plane - I'm thinking Central America as I haven't been. I'd like to start in Nicaragua & journey to Costa Rica from there. 

South America. Just because I have never been there and it seems cheap enough that you could wander around for two weeks from country to country easy enough. 

This, of course, depends on where you are, your budget, and what your interests are. If these were no object, I'd head for Botswana and the Okavango Delta and spend two weeks just relaxing, and watching, photographing and video-ing the wildlife. 

France. I've never been and there is so much to see. Versailles, Eiffel Tower, Catacombes de Paris, The Louvre, Normandy...

Come to India specially in the northern region

I would go back to Krakow in Poland. I spend two months over the summer there and loved it! It had a lot of interesting sites and lovely people. Good food too :) I would like to see some of the sites I missed. Also I would go see nearby cities like Warsaw and Wroclaw.
