Melting snow makes roads messy!

The sun is FINALLY beginning to make an appearance (hooray!), but unfortunately, it’s turning our snow-covered roads into a big, sloppy mess. Melting snow and slush can make roadways difficult to navigate, and with a few springtime showers thrown into the mix, it’s important to be extra careful.

Slow down.
You may not have as much control of your vehicle as you may think. Take your time, and brake early.

Change your windshield wipers.
Rain decreases visibility, so it’s important to make sure your wiper blades are in working order.

Check the tread on your tires.
Worn tires don’t get good traction on slick surfaces, which can cause your vehicle to hydroplane. If your tires are worn, consider replacing them.
