Faulty parts could allow engine oil seepage into the air intake.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has made a voluntary recall of 5,834 units of the Toyota Corolla Altis diesel. The reason behind the recall is said to be faulty components which might cause engine oil to enter the air-intake system. The cars affected from the recall are manufactured between June 15, 2010 and May 23, 2011.
Toyota says that there have been no complaints regarding the issue as of now. The precautionary recall will enable the affected customers to get their cars checked for the issue and get the repair done, if necessary, free of charge.
Affected customers will be contacted by the company regarding the issue, and will also be notified about the time taken for the repairs, if any. Toyota hasn't yet released a website where you could check if your car falls under the recall purview.

This is a minor recall in comparison to what Toyota and a few other manufacturers are conducting globally. The bigger recall is because of the faulty (and dangerous) Takata airbag inflators. Toyota itself has recalled 57,000 vehicles globally regarding that, while in total, more than 16 million vehicles have been recalled since 2008, because of the same issue.
